I switched out the fork from 650c to 700c. Gave it a bloodied count trackular paint job with some left over rattle cans to protect the frame from the evil ginger cancer.

Powerstraps

How do you like those power straps? I liked mine at first, but my hate grew when they broke during a quick "save my life" skid. But I dig the idea and just want a more secure strap mechanism.

First time I've heard of them braking. That's kinda scary. Although I don't know why cages would be any stronger. So far they seem sweet. They have stretched a little, but that's to be expected.

HT Angle

Did you weld a new head tube in as well? Angle looks perfect. I switched out a 650 for a 700 on a pursuit I had a while back and the result was nowhere near as nice.

HT Angle

Standard as she goes my friend. It's got a bit of steering flop, but not too bad. I guess it was real steep to start with. It could be the fork I'm using - if you've got a long fork it'll kick out the HT a bit more than a short track fork will. I saw a cool 650 carbon wheel for sale the other day and was thinking about switching the old fork back in.

Keep the 700 fork and put on the 650 wheel get those bars spins down.
