I originally bought this frame to build as a second geared bike for me, but it was too small so I built it as a bike for my son. I don't know a lot about the frame, it appears to be something of a rarity. It is a little big for my son, thus the uber short stem and forward-sitting saddle.

This bike no longer exists in this form; I tore it down for parts when I found a Trek 1000 frame/fork set that was more my son's size and easier for him to ride. This Nishiki frame/fork set and the wheels were later sold after the Trek 1000 was completely assembled.

How much were you able to get for this?

Japanese?

Is this Nishiki Japanese? AKA, "handcrafted by Kawamura"?

Great Bike

I think your NFS is the only other one I've seen or heard anybody mention. The bike was one of 1991 Bicycling Magazine's most innovative bikes and was ridden by National Biathalon(Run and BIke) Champ of the year Ken Souza. I remeber this because that was when I was racing and had to have a NFS. Yours looks awesome!!!! Check mine out, I just finished the rebuild.

Great.....

Awsome looking frame, get rid of all that gear stuff and FIX it..Still a hot bike.

Forget the above comment!

That bike screams classic AS IS..
