This is the photo background for the Oakland Scrape flyer (www.oaklandscrape.com). The guy in the picture isn't me. Just some student at Berkeley who was around when I was taking pictures for the flyer. I wasn't getting any cool looking shots and then this guy with a mohawk wearing a suit walks up and I'm like, "hey, could you face this wall and hold this bike? ... cool thanks!"

Oakland - Friday's WHEELS OF STEEL

Hey there, we're riding at 8pm on Friday for the 3rd "Wheels of Steel". The only rule is show up on two wheels, all are welcome, though primarily it's been BMX and MTB SS riders wearing flashing night lights and puffin' and huffin' (it's so -in- to be green friendly these days) around Lake Merritt and Uptown Oakland with a vengeance. Last WofS one of our BMX riders lofted the 20 ft. gap at Oakland Tech and ended up busting his knee and fracturing his foot. Still rode back to BART and rode home. We meet at 8pm, Rosewood House at 26th and Broadway at Webster in Uptown Oakland.
