Notes:

Steel frame? Check. Italian? Check again. It's always been my dream to own a true pure-blooded Italian Bianchi from the Reparto Corse factory, and I finally picked up this Bianchi Veloce used for seven hundred on a local listing. Campagnolo-equipped through and through (just the way it should be!), my own Starbucks decals on the top tube (a little cafe americano), and a Selle Italia saddle. Eventually I'll find some way to swap the Mavics for a pair of G3-laced Scirocco wheels, but for the time being I'm absolutely loving it. Hope you like it too.

As of 2007, this bike is no longer mine. I sold the Veloce frame and fork in order to purchase a Bianchi San Lorenzo frameset. :)

what is it about bianchi? a big bike manufacturer but the marque has that ability to capture the imagination none the less. the bici still have that... non so. dig the ride, but i'm not a coffee drinker, so i can't comment on all that.

What's with the starbucks stickers? They are as unoriginal as a completely stock mass produced bicycle (though a bike is a bike and each to one's own; not hatin' on that). If you check it out, you just may find that your local independent coffee shop doesn't contribte to capitalist income stratification, sells better coffee in blends that can actually be traced back to a farm or location and doesn't insult employees with uniforms and goodie-goodie worker propaganda.

Small, indie coffee shops are good. And I know a Starbucks sticker on a bike looks out of place on this site filled with great, original fixie designs and the true definition of what it means to go custom. Still..

No political statements, pro-homogenization, or mass-corporate globalization-rally war cries in my little green decal. I just like the drink. :)
