This bike is a 1984 Champion d'Aquitaine winner. I don't deserve to put a leg accross it, but I do !!! Just bought, in need of some cosmetic work.

Looks good

This bike looks really nice. Put a whole bunch of tlc into it: rebuild, polish, and wax everything and you'll have a nice ride (and straighten out the seat:)) Or give it to me.

Not easy...

Straighten out the seat? That's a hard one. I have more used and NOS Idéale leather than is sensible, I have Brooks Pro NEW from the 70's. It would look great. But hey, that's the configuration the bike was ridden by the Champion d'Aquitaine. In those days, they still rode big saddles. If I start changing the original configuration, does it make sense ? I mean, I go out tommorow, I can buy a good Peugeot or something for peanuts, throw on some campy after spraying her green, I got a look alike which I'd definitely put an Idéale 88 on. Or a Brooks. I really don't know. Maybe put some leather and keep the original saddle to put back on if if goes on show or something. I can't give it to you, the shipping charges would bankrupt you :)
