The Comic Bike

This bike was gifted to me several years back by a generous friend that I tended bar with. I replaced the brake levers, front wheel, seat post and saddle and have had a great time ever since. As far as I can tell, its just a big ol' Schwinn. The ride is actually quite nice and it gets plenty of stares/compliments where ever we go. The comics were shellacked to the frame using wheat paste.

Unfortunately, this bike got killed in April '08 when a moron in a Bonneville decided to make an illegal turn through an intersection as I was doing about 20mph. I smashed straight into the rear fender, busting up the frame as well as my wrist. Wear your helmets kids!
