Nice bike.

I noticed, in a comment on someone else's page, that you are interested in removing the decals from your Pista. It's not too hard.

I removed all components from the frame, except for the headset cups, lined my bathtub with newspaper, and put it in there.

I brushed on a generous coat of Citristrip (an orange scented gel paint stripper from home depot, which doesn't emit toxic fumes)over the entire frame. I brushed on some more (to keep it nice and wet) every hour or so for 3 hrs.

After 4 hrs, I scraped off the decals and clearcoat with a PLASTIC SCRAPER, but some still remained.

I brushed on one more coat and went to sleep. In the morning I wiped off the rest of the residue with a rag, and cleaned it up with some oderless mineral spirits.

I did this 5 months ago. I ride daily in a humid climate and there have been no problems with rust. I threw on a coat of car wax just to be safe, which doesn't cloud the chrome whatsoever. I know of several people who have done this with no problems.

Make sure to only use a PLASTIC scraper. Steel wool or Scotchbrite will scratch the chrome.

It's a lot eaisier than it sounds. It could be done a lot faster with a more toxic stripper, but this method is relatively safe and doesn't make a big mess - just roll up the messy newspapers. If you live in an apartment or condo like me, this is the way to go.

I hope this helps!
