Nice set up. I'm considering doing this to my rig. Curious as to why you opted for the brake on the rear instead of the front. Convention states that if riding with only one brake you should put it on the front. (see sheldonbrown.com for more)

I really like this! It's cool that it's NOT a fixie, but it's super minimal and super clean. Makes me want to reconsider my fixie build :p
