These bikes were originally painted white, with the bands of the German flag on the seat tube, since they were used by the German team in the Tour. The guy who repainted it was probably thinking of the models that came along 4-5 years later, which were powder blue out of the factory.
I use this for loaded (i.e. 10-15 lbs) city riding, with my office on the Tubus rack. I live in cafés. Those tires on there in the pics stink by the way - I put some Schwalbe Marathons on since then - much better in town.
