Cottered. Won't take a sealed BB, pipe ends aren't finished well.

Freebie from my bike shop. Best fitting frame I own. It's going to be my fixed gear when I find the money/wheels for it. Will get new cranks, brake levers and saddle then as well.

bottom bracket

i have the same bike and would like to replace the bottom bracket with something much newer, do you have any suggestions?

The bottom bracket is a bit

The bottom bracket is a bit troublesome. I think the threading is standard, but the tube joints are rather rough so most sealed bottom brackets won't fit. I'll probably end up filing it down carefully (don't want to damage the threads) when I get around to changing stuff out.
