My first custom built bike. I was on a budget and got the best deals I could find. If you can see in the pictures, I have Campy shifters and front derailleur but I also have Shimano rear derailleur and cassette. I found a way (without a cable adapter) to make the two work perfect together.

how much does your leader weigh? looks nice and fast.
also you might want to change the saddle angle. that can really mess up your wrists.

ridiculous seat!

it was around 20lbs. it looks fast, but it had a bunch of problems. it wasn't the greatest, but for the price it couldn't be beat (about 0 for the frame at the time). wasn't built for racing, so i've since upgraded to a cervelo soloist team. yea, the seat was so uncomfortable i put it like that to save my.. pride some pain. somewhat ridiculous looking but it felt ok for a while. i got a new seat too and its at the correct angle now, haha. my left hand frequently went numb. i'll post the new bike soon when i get some pics of it.

problems

Well, the parts were fine (put together myself from ebay parts). The problem was the frame. It was too stiff were you didn't want it to be, and way too flexible where it should have been. I noticed (after testing some other bikes) that a lot of your energy was wasted because the bottom bracket seemed to flex side to side more than it should have. It make it not a very good accelerator. The frame was way too stiff up and down too and made for a very bumpy ride. The cervelo soloist I upgraded to fixed both of these problems. Don't get me wrong, it was great for the money, but... just a little sub par in my opinion.

no cable adapter?

I am building up a Leader 735R and was wondering how you did Campy shifters and Shimano components without a cable adapter. Care to share your secret?

just use universal fitting cables you can order those for a few bucks from UBI or just look for them online
