I bought the frame cheap, then turned around and sold it. It was my first ever fixed-gear/SS build.
The Vitus 979 used thin-wall aluminum tubing and was bonded(glued) together, providing super light weight that still was comfortable to ride, if you were a small or light rider. I am neither.
Apparently I weigh to much for its flimsy "bonded" frame, IE, the fact that its glued together. Rather than trash it I sold it and have started looking for a stronger frame to suit my needs.
The seat tube was cracked for some reason, so I had to put it the whole way down in order for the seat-clamp to stay straight.
Update 2008: Sold this in early 2007 for 3x what I paid for it. Would've kept it but I probably would've broke it.
