Pinarello Gran Turismo with vintage Campagnolo parts

Certainly no one would call this Pinarello Gran Turismo mint-perfect, but it has a wonderful "patina" where the red paint has faded/worn to exposure the lustrous gold underlay. The lug areas almost look as if they've been outlined in gold! The steel classic has a mix of era-appropriate Campagnolo parts that were common to import bicycles of this type - most very hard to find in such condition and valuable.

The bike currently has a touring/commuter setup with a 13-28t 6-speed freewheel, but the lightweight steel frame would be just at home with a change to a narrower set of tires and more race-specific components. Highlighted details are the Pinarello engraved Nuovo Record seatpost, a classy Selle San Marco GI-Lux 311 leather saddle and a wheelset built with Campy Record high-flange hubs.

The specs: CRANKSET- Campagnolo (Nuovo) Gran Sport 170mm and 52/42t chainrings, BOTTOM BRACKET- Campagnolo Nuovo Record, SHIFT LEVERS- Super Record, REAR DERAILLEUR - Campagnolo Rally Touring, FRONT DERAILLEUR- Campagnolo Record, HEADSET- Campagnolo Super Record, BRAKES- Campagnolo (Nuovo) Gran Sport, BRAKE LEVERS- Campagnolo (Nuovo) Gran Sport with NEW hoods, HANDLEBAR- Sakae Road Champion Randonneur with NEW cork bar tape, STEM- Sakae/Ringyo AX-90, SEATPOST- Pinarello pantographed Campagnolo Nuovo Record 27.2mm, WHEELSET- built from Campagnolo Record high-flange hubs and Weinmann 700C rims with NEW Vittoria Zaffiro II tires, SADDLE- Selle San Marco GI-Lux 311
