This is a custom Black Sheep Racer with Rohloff 14-Speed IGH Speedhub. The bike was designed for long distance club rides, century rides and real world roads. Similar to a cafe racer, but more versatile. The design was based on the Amaro Lollobrigida with a mix of Hampsten Strada Bianca Ti and Salsa Fargo for aesthetics, ride quality and comfort. The Cowbell 2 drop bar provides versatile steering for extended rides and has the Co-Motion shifter next to the stem for easy shifting. The 25cm head tube gives a more upright posture to ease neck and back pain experienced on long rides. The head angle is steep for a sportier ride, balanced with a modest rake for stability.

The frame/fork is titanium with a bead blast finish. The fork was designed with 4mm wall on the fork blades/crown/steerer tube to increase lateral rigidity and minimize brake flex. An oversized 49mm head tube adds an additional level of strength to the main triangle / fork interface. All cables are routed internally through the top tube, down tube and fork. Custom routing of the cables internally around the BB shell and seatpost further minimize the clutter of exposed wires/cables. Nokon aluminum cable housing was chosen for durability and improved shifting. The frame was spaced 135mm in the rear for the Rohloff hub and the triangle able to accept 62mm tires with off road tread. Larger tires were chosen for comfort and stability. A modified hybrid mechanical/hydraulic disc was chosen for ease of maintenance.

Front lighting is a combination of battery powered Exposure Reflex lights (2) with a combined output of 4400 lumen. The dyno driven Supernova E3 triple adds an additional 800 lumen. Lighting in the rear is with the DiNotte 400R, at 240 lumen.

The forte of this bike is its functional design emphasizing comfort, stability and durability for long distance riding, similar to the sport bikes of the 60's, but with improved design and components maximizing its versatility. Although not a sprinter, this is definitely one of the most stable and comfortable sport bikes around.
