BIANCHI Record SL "Pantani build" Campagnolo Titanium 56cm AWESOME!

This bike was a labor of love, built up to replicate the Mercatone Uno Team bicycle ridden by the late Marco Pantani - an Italian legend and winner of the 1998 Tour de France and Giro d'Italia. The bike has a lightweight 7005 T6 aluminum frame and a carbon fibre fork. The bike is equipped with the Campagnolo Record Titanium 9 speed gruppo, including the crankset (170mm with 53/39t chainrings), brake lever/shifters, both derailleurs, dual-pivot brakeset and seatpost Record Carbon bottom bracket; There is a hard-to-find yellow Selle Italia Flite saddle, and the wheelset is a lookalike of the extremely rare Campagnolo Shamal, built from Gipiemme hubs and Torelli rims, with a 13-26t cassette and NEW Vittoria Rubino Pro III tires. The bike is also equipped with a Cane Creek threadless headset, ITM BigOne stem and ITM Super Italian Pro 2 handlebars wrapped in NEW authentic Bianchi tape.

The bike has only a couple nicks in the paint and there are very minor scratches on some of the components. This is a fantastic looking and riding bicycle - the basic Bianchi SL "Daytona" was new in 2001 at nearly 2000 dollars, but I built this up closer to the specs of the XL "Record", which was near 3500 dollars - so my asking price is very reasonable!

I rebuild/restore/refurbish bicycles (vintage and modern) in my basement shop. You can check out some of my work via my Cycle Tech Royersford page on Facebook or my blog at http://cycletechrofo.blogspot.com

There are more detail photos of the Bianchi on this page of my blog: http://cycletechrofo.blogspot.com/2014/07/settin-them-up-and-knockin-them-out.html
