Vintage Somec Time Trial Frame 52-53

vintage circa 1988 Somec time trial funny bike frame. Made by well known Italian bike maker Oliviero Gallegati. The Somec name derives from the Italian "Mechanic's Society" acronym, "Societa' Mecchanica".

This unique and rare frame features, sloping down tube geometry to accommodate smaller front wheel, thereby creating a more aerodynamic design to cheat the wind during time trialling. It was design that was popular during the late 80s and early 90's. This frame is built to accommdate a 650 mm or 26" front wheel and 700mm or 27 rear. Also incorprates a curved seat tube. Frame is a size 52cm, and comes equipped with a Campagnolo Chours headset and square tapered bottom bracket. Frame is in good condition and I have been the only owner. Sold as is (pictured), as with any used part, blemishes and imperfections are to be expected.

Please feel free to ask question. I will ship, email for shipping estimate.
