The original wheels I had on this bike-- Sun CR18s-- were slightly too large to take a normal diameter 650B tire, making changing a flat a week-long tour of my own circle of hell. Finally I gave in and had some Velocity Synergy rims built up with my cheapo Nexave hubs. Here's hoping the rims are as endlessly awesome as every 650B devotee on the planet would have one believe.
The bike floats over shitty pavement, train tracks, small children, and pickle jars. It's given me the confidence to stop with the hysterical crying jags on descents.
