Steel!!! What a frame...
Im new to fixed gear cycling after a life of trail riding and XC racing.
This is a nearly stock Schwinn Madison that I use daily for commuting and enjoyment. I have resisted all of my intense urges to customize this bike (as of yet) because I know it'll only add to my fear of leaving it locked up outside. As time goes on this bike will most likely be totally customized, as with my other rides, but Ill wait for the perfect components to come along.
Swapped out the drop bars for a flat bar with bar ends (ad-hoc bullhorns) for more comfort while commuting. It also helps me navigate city traffic with more agility...ex MTB racer at heart...
I love this bike so far. And fixed gear cycling is absoultely exhilarating. Im sure itll help with my cadence on the trail as well.
