your stem

is that the threaded stem adapter so you can run a threadless stem?

No, it's a ControlTECH

blue & green

the blue and green looks great -- nice work!

sizing

i apologize first of all because i am writing with a question...i just had my first and only fixie stolen and as most people who start riding fixed, i am addicted. i am simply going to purchase a tt, and i would just like some help with sizing. i think a 60cm would work...i am 6'2'', 175 lbs, long legs, long arms. 34 in Levi's. could you help me out? the geometry on cyclesmercier was a bit confusing.
beautiful bike. thanks.

be careful with the cm

be careful with the cm sizing. they actually run bigger than they say on bikes direct, for example a 53 on the site is in actuality 56 when you actually get on the bike, which is something i've noticed.

Sizing isn't really a thing you can get answered over a comment on Velospace. I'm just under 6'3" and weigh *cough, cough* and the 60cm is perfect for me.

You might want to check BikeForums.net and Sheldon Brown's site for more comprehensive sizing information. You could also go to a FLBS to get a sizing, and then buy the TT from that. Heh, although that kinda sucks for the FLBS guys... "Hey, can you size me up so I can buy the right size bike somewhere else?" :D

sizing

I'm just shy of 6'3" as well, and I've found my 57cm kilo to feel pretty good. I'd be a little nervous of making the jump to 60cm, having ridden older conversions with short top tubes in the past.

cog/gearing

I'm struggling a *little* with the stock 48/16 gearing on some hills near my house (makes my knees a little sore). How much difference was there when you switch to the 17t cog? Was it really noticeable?

A little change does make a difference

I've got 2 fixed pistas, one is 48x16 and the other I changed to 44x16 for around town and you really can feel a difference.

(Sorry, I've been AFK for a while...)

Believe it or not, the difference was definitely noticeable when I went to the 17t cog. I still wouldn't try to take it up Alp D'Huez or something, but 46/17 works for me.

powergrips

So how are the Powergrips workin for you?

I...

LOVE 'em. They feel WAY more secure -- to me -- than have any standard clips-n-straps I've used, which includes the stock Kilo TT pedals, a set of Shimano 600 track pedals, and a set of MKS Sylvans with metal MKS clips.

glad to hear it, my friend

glad to hear it, my friend had them on his mountain bike like 15 years ago and they seemed pretty nice. I think I might pick some up..
