Raleigh Lo Pro SB7253. Most likely used by the Welsh in the Team Time Trial at the 1986 Commonwealth Games.

One of a batch of bikes produced for the Commonwealth games, it was possibly finished in the Welsh national colours and, following the Commonwealth Games, was returned to Ilkeston and resprayed in the Panasonic livery, hence the 'Reynolds 753 Respray' tubing sticker. It is thought that at least two of the Ilkeston Raleigh bikes used by the English team were finished in the St Georges cross colour scheme and, most likely, also returned to be refinished. For that event Paul Curran, of the English team, shunned the Lo Pro style in favour of his traditional road bike set up.

An interesting feature is the socket head screws replacing the front quick release. The hollow axle has been tapped for the screws whilst the washers are the thrust washers used on Campagnolo gear levers.
