Agreed about the old and French. I recently got an early 80s Gitane that was a headache to modernize. But I did it in the end. I had to get a Phil BB, because they still make French. Now it's full Campy Chorus 9 speed.

I purchased one of the few

I purchased one of the few blue LeJeune track cycles.
It has considerably less clearance than yours but overall, it's the same frame.
I try to obtain coeval parts, at best the original ones. Can you affirm that the Stronglight crankset and the stem were stock? Do you have more information about it - maybe the model designation?
