I love my fixie (even though it tried to eat my thumb)! Too bad I don't have pics.... After a long ride, I was wiping the bike clean with a rag. I was spinning the rear wheel and holding a rag against the cog....The rag got sucked into the cog/chain, and it pulled my thumb in... So, my thumb, held in by the chain, went around the cog. It didn't actually amputate it, but it was pretty chewed-up. And, to make matters worse, I had to drive myself to the hospital.... In rush-hour traffic.... While driving a stick-shift....
Pretty dumb, huh???? Believe it or not, this wasn't the first time I got a finger chewed-up by a bike. The end of my index finger was nipped-off by my BMX bike when I was a kid....
