my first road bike, after 14 years of riding a kona cindercone, lovely and swift, makes me feel all gooey and damp. Had to have a steel frame, alu's a bit to harsh a ride. And the Soma was the steel frame I could afford, thinking of getting a Pegoretti or a Indy Fabrications the bike after next, but got to earn the big bucks first. Want to keep it looking pristine, but knowing me and the way I ride it'll be battered in a heartbeat.

Nice bike, how do you like...

the ride quality of this frame? I like your choice of components and am curious how you decided on the Reynolds fork? How do you like the Scirocco wheelset? Thanks in advance.

Talk to me about the ride of that frame.

I ride Reynolds 853 and it has racing written all over it. Which i regret, as i just love bikes, not torture machines that'll save me 10 seconds.

nice bike

I am looking into getting a Smoothie and wondering about the sizing. Im 5'11.5" or so and torn between the 56 or 58. How tall are you? Do you find that Somas run big or small? I thinking of going with a Rival group, keep a lookout for it here on velospace.
