I bought the frame NOS in 2008 to build up my first track bike. I raced on it for two years with some success but replaced it nevertheless by something made of carbon. Comparing to my new bike, the Pinarello isn't a wonder in stiffness nor in agility but it is even so a great bike for track beginners and eye candy anyway.

Beauiful bike. So clean!

Beautiful bike. So clean!

What a beauty!

Good rims, look nice on this frame. But Schwalbe Lugano... (Schwalbe sucks!)
Very, very nice built-up!

Would never consider this a beginner track bike. A better wheelset would make this a high end track gem. Sure the pros ride mostly alu on the track for stiffness and some ride carbon for that crazy acceleration; many things have changed over the years. And so it may not be a medal winner anymore but this kind of craftsmanship can rarely be replicated in modern frames. Even carbon-jockeys keep pinnies in their stable. Is it nostalgic to say this? Maybe so but the beauty cannot be denied.

nice

This is really clean... like it a lot. Just curious, what is your new frame? Are you planning on posting it?

New frame

My new bike is a white Planet-X. I bought it complete an changed nothing than the wheelset (besides the bar and the gearing of course, depending on the use). It is so unspectacular that I have almost no pictures to post...
