Kashimax Five Gold 30mm rails NJS, Nitto Gold Jaguar 2 bolt NJS

MKS Rx-1 Gold NJS, Izumi gold

15T Surly cog and lockring, 48-15

Soma white wall tires, Kashimax Top tube protector, white Ole clips and White Campagnolo straps. A lot went into building this bike, and there is always room for upgrades. I think it looks nice.

side note: When building this bike I wanted gold wheels, spokes, headset, post collar, hardware. But after searching and searching the market I realized that not all gold was the same color. the chris king gold didn't match the nitto stuff at all. And that was a problem because it would be toughing the gold nitto stem. The velocity gold Deep V's didn't match the nitto or suzue hubs. Another problem. So I ended up going with the white wheels and some calculated silver parts. She was beautiful, and I wouldn't change the experience of building her for the world.

But I sold her like a dirty whore on ebay haa

It's a...

...a 1970's leisure suit, complete with matching white belt, white patent leather shoes and enough gold chains and bracelets to make Mr. T jealous. Greasy.

...

the crank!!~~.......................siiiiccck..lovin the color scheme!

pornography.

nothing more.

i like how the person who is

i like how the person who is currently owning this is selling like most of the parts

gross

grossssss... fuji track?!! i just realized that. i thought it was a gan well pro for some reason. mah, who cares. i'm sure the person who bought it isn't actually riding it anyway.

"i thought it was a gan well pro for some reason"

Jerk- don't mistake a fuji track frame for freaking gan well pro- then shit on me for using the fuji- when you (unlike most people) can't even tell the difference.

frame

why is everyone hating on the frame?

because he built a bike that

because he built a bike that no one would want to ride, and the frame sucks.

F U

you're just jealous that you crack'n'fail project had the ugliest cranks in existence (c'mon? gold annondized zen chainring?) compared to the pauls I had on this bike

dont hate, eat meat.

people hate out of jealousy. the frame went to a good home as someones first build-up. the crank went to a home on a bike that is too beautiful for you hating fawkers and you wouldnt appreciate it if was yours, AND it gets ridden more miles daily then your bike does i bet (he doesnt lean it against a fence outside your local soy latte house and wait for someone to see it). and yes, the quality of paul comp is reflected in the price. the wheelss, saddle, post, and bars are on ebay right now.

sic

I'm glad to hear all the stuff is at least getting used- they will always have been part of "The Gold and White Bike" in their past life.

newbs

why are all these comments so newbish?

i appreciate your style/taste, but perhaps you are less of a cyclist and more of a fashionista. that bike was wayyy too white and wayyy too clean to ride... i'm not surprised you flipped. how much did you rake on it?

is the paul's comp as high in quality as it is in price?

you don't actually have to answer these questions... i just stumbled accross my velospace page in a google search of my name and then clicked your old bike. and then saw all the newbish comments. yayyy middle america finally caught wind of fixed riding! It take years for some things/styles/concepts/ideas to break those middle american bastards. i mean, a lot of those guys still hate black people. what the hell is that all about? racism went out of style in the mother fucking 50's. (for those that are too dense to perceive my cynicism: that was a joke. racism was never in style.)

okay, long rant. thanks forum!

heaven

if heaven was a bike, this would be it.

beauty...true beauty

this bike is truly beautiful. Not rad, or awesome, or bitchin', those words don't do this build any justice at all. Truly beautiful.

.....

This is the bike that inspired me to build my Giro. They could be like cousins, or something.

you shouldn't have sold that bike

its living a lobotmized life in the hands of a fool. i'm not sure if you guys alread saw what happened to this bike (it was posted a while ago) but its naaaasty.

what happened?

what happened? wheres the post at?

whitey

thats funny man. i was just checking out this bike a couple of days ago. nice build! it came up on a search for gold nitto. i am in the process of collecting some gold myself. will post the pics when i get her together. peace.

frame

this bike would be so rad if the frame didnt suck shit

whatever

i wanted a better one, but that one rode fine and its hat I had.

i mean no offense, it looks

i mean no offense, it looks sick, but you dropped some dime on the parts. i mean the cranks are hot, but i would have gotten a better frame first

1000x

better than that fucking clown bike.

One word...

orgasmic

What's the thing for on the

What's the thing for on the top tube? I have seen this on a lot of bikes and never known.. is it just style?

That thing

is so the bars don't bang up on the toptube without putting a big clunky pad on there. It took me a while to catch it too

White design project

Wow, that's nicely done.
I am building up a black on black Holdsworth. It is tough getting things that are the right color, gold is not gold, black is not even always black! Add period appropos!!
So, you flipped the bitch on ebay, huh.
That's cold, Dude, really COLD!

its ice cold...

but you know how it is. you get caught up in a project, and when you're done your like ok- sweet. but I just sunk 2 grand and cant pay the bills.

whip it good...

makes me wanna whip it out...!

man o man

you need to ride this wearing a white tuxedo and top hat.

hardwear

shoulda been gold

BEAUTIFUL bicycleto

BEAUTIFUL bicycleto

its a 1/10 gold paul LE. its

its a 1/10 gold paul LE. its been stripped for the parts, sorry kiddies, this bike is no more.

buyer

Friend of

Friend of

that is the nicest crankset

that is the nicest crankset IVE EVER SEEN where did you get that?

gold

.......im in love

wow.

It's scary just how beautiful this bike is!

omg where did you find that

omg where did you find that crank set!?!? i've been looking all over for it!

so fresh and so clean clean

damn, you hella pimped this bike out. i love it, simple and angelic

Nice Build!

You beat me to the white powder coat! Did you have it done in Philly? I'll be moving there in a few weeks and looking for a PC shop.

yeah I had it done by this

yeah I had it done by this dude wyatt who always posts on C-list that he powdercoats. i guess he does it himself in his own shop or something. The coat job was pretty good, only a few uneven parts. Be careful when you rebuild after having your frame powdercoated- I had to chase the BB threads, and clean the shit out of the inside of my tubes. pretty strange process- but worth it. good luck

best color matching

im truly inspired

I love that paul crankset

I love that paul crankset

trick'd

you have gotta get appropriate valve caps......

haaha yo man those are

haaha yo man those are awesome

headset

you know, chris king makes a gold headset.

Sweet.

Hot bike! How do you like the RX-1 pedals?

rx1s

yo the rx-1's are sweet as hell. they're so smooth that I seriously have trouble getting into them. they just start flipping around as soon as you touch them. They're worth the cash.

Hmmm

pure porn

f*$#en A, i'm wet

f*$#en A, i'm wet, nice ride

royal flush

the paul crank changed my life. i am building a bike entirely around this one lovely, lovely component. i saw it on your bike first.

normally i would say take

normally i would say take off those damn velocity stickers on the rims, but they go good with the theme, so keep em'

dam, sonFIG

dam, son

sweet

I saw your bike on CL. I cannot afford it but just wanted to say it is a beautiful bike!

theft

it's kind of stupid to build a bike so nice like this and expect it not to get stolen in a city like philly

good luck to ya, lock 'er up

nicest

this is for sure the nicest ride on velospace. maybe even the entire internet!

Paul Crank

I've ripped the 4 bolts out of my Paul crank as well as several others here in LA. Keep an eye on those bolts, there's only 3-4 threads in those shallow bolt holes (you might already know that). Not the best engineered piece. Paul should have at least Helicoiled the bolt holes, at some point you might have to. Nice ride.

bling

there will always be haters but nothin says bling like GOLD.SALUTE

sweet ride. where did you

sweet ride. where did you get the gold nipples?

somewhere online- im not

somewhere online- im not sure, but i found them pretty easily

Simply.

Amazing.

wow....wow....wow....i'm

wow....wow....wow....i'm loving the chainring...that thing is so Vegas!!

love at first sight

hi, marry me.

wow

if i saw u riding down the road, i would beat you up and steal your bike.... i whunt that crank! too gangsta

dang

this is one sexy bike.

upgrades

I'm sure you could find a gold seat clamp and a gold headset...haha

amazing look though...i love it.

Contrast

I like the contrast of the gold, silver and white.

Fits the criteria...

for my 10s cluster, nice build!

custom paul?

custom colored cranks or was i sleepin when they dropped in gold?

yeah bryan at bicycle

yeah bryan at bicycle revolutions in philly got together with some other people to make a custom order of 10 gold annondized road cranks, they came gold from paul himself.
