bottom bracket

Are you experiencing a popping or similar sound in your bottom bracket? Also, do you have the stock lockring on? the lockring on my IRO was machined wrong (threads weren't deep enough to grab) And it ripped the threads right off the hub. so be careful.. check for thread filings every so often. About the bottom bracket I eventually got a new drivetrain and that fixed the problem

Lockring problem YOU PREDICTED!

Wow; you surely typed a "field's-full" when you commented on the IRO lockring problems, but I failed to be advised. 2 weeks ago, my neglecting to check the lockring-to-rear hub connection, finally blew up in my face... I literally tore off every inch of the thread on my rear hub when trying to crank back and stop. I replaced the hub with a Phil Wood and it seems to be pretty solid now. Just wish I did that sooner.

Bottom-of-the-barrel Bracket

Now that you say something, I do believe there is a bit of a sound goin' on with it...but...It's more of a click than a pop. Whatever the case, I am going to pay close attention to BOTH of these potential issues, as I do have the stock lockring on. Thanks for the heads up, friend.
