The bike was purchased as a frameset only but included the headset and seatpost. It's turned into a "frankenbike" with the parts. I was trying to build with what I had on hand and purchasing as little as possible. The Campagnolo Nuovo Record front derailleur didn't work quite right so I switched to the Suntour. The bike has a Swiss threaded bottom bracket. The general consensus on Bike Forums a couple of years ago was it was probably a PX10 that had water bottle, shifter and cable guide braze ons added and then the bike was repainted. The decals are from the mid-80's and definitely not period correct. Photo taken with donor wheel on the front to ensure parts were adjusted correctly.

Is this?

Is this the beast you're keeping at 32mph when pulling and 28mph when following for five miles straight (relating to your forum post)? If so, you must be a superhuman fiend because this is at near PRO level of the era. Are you talking with major wind and hill assistance or flats? I live on the coast, am in pretty good shape riding about 175 a week on some nice vintage gear, and keeping 25mph on the flats for five miles without wind assistance would be doing quite well. Keeping at 32mph for 5 miles on something like that would be in the HERO department, surpassing most of the A list on carbon. Almost hard to believe without ingesting Psilocybin. heh....

It is. As I said on my post

It is. As I said on my post it was on a flat and we had a slight tailwind (5 mph or so). I also hadn't pushed much during our group ride and had some energy in reserve. I never said I did 32 mph for 5 miles but, rather, bounced between 28 and 32 and I was completely wasted at the end. As comparison we did the same route tonight (I was on my 1984 Gitane Tour de France) and I was trying to stay with a tough triathlete (he finished 4th in an Olympic distance race 2 days ago). Almost the same conditions as three weeks ago except that I was more tired after trying to stay with this guy. Over the same 5 miles were were between 26.5 and 30 mph. With me at the lower when pulling and him at the higher speed.
