Mossberg Tourist 5

generic 1" stem, stock handlebars

stock

front wheel from a dump picked Columbia 3-speed

rear wheel from the same dump picked Columbia. Sturmey Archer 3-speed hub (Later swapped out in favor of a wheel from an old 10-speed, with an 18t BMX freewheel)

Stock 1-piece crank

Says "Huffy" on the back of it. Unknown origin

stock pedals, chain came from an old garage door. For real.

Shimano shifter

unknown caliper brake, weird old bmx lever

This was the first bike I built from scratch. Found the frame probably 15 years ago in my friends barn. Many parts were taken from a Columbia 3-speed with a broken frame. No pictures to show it, but this was later converted to a single speed, after the 3-speed wheel broke.

Hi-ten?

HIGH FIVE!
Awesome bike. You should try to find a front brake--it will really improve braking performance.

You are absolutely right.

Yeah, the "rear brake only" thing was something I was into at the time, but it's something I've grown out of. When I drag this this back out of storage, I intend to fit it with a front brake.
