This frame was bought by a friend with mostly 80's campy record. He used the bike for a while messing on it then sold off all the parts. I bought his frame from him recently so I could build it up for him so he can buy it back when he has the cash and it can go back into service in phila. I'm not looking forward to that day, this bike is a really fun ride.

I recently used this bike to get me into the finals for the NACCC's in SF. I threw my Elite wheel set on and a cassette with a 27t because of the hill that everyone had to to 500 times. And I'm sending it back to my friend back in philly so it will go back to work.

the bars are chopped a little more and there are new grips.

toughest pinnarello ever

wonderful bike, no drop style bars on road bikes always look so tuff. say friend, do you now of a way to find the date of pinnarello frames? i have one from the early 80's and i would love to find out more about it.

pin dates

I got lucky with this one, the someone, I'm assumeing someone at pinarello, wrote '96 on the stearer tube on the fork. I've been looking around the bike to try to find a ceral number but I havn't found one and I don't feel like undoing the headset to look in there again since I just put the whole thing together last night. sorry I couldn't be anymore helpful.

I was trying to find half inch riser bars but I saw these and really liked the shape. with the upright riding position and the smooth steering it makes me want to do S turns down the street yelling "WEEEEEEE". I think this is my summer fun bike.
