man, i love this bike. getting my track champ this weekend il get a photo up when its built.

I'm glad to see you got the 105's!

How are you liking them?

I'm so jealous of those dura ace hubs!

Hey. I really like the 105's

Hey. I really like the 105's and it was cool that I was able to get them in black. It took me a little time to get the clamps on the shoes just right, but besides that they are really nice. The Dura-ace hubs was a lucky found on Ebay, I haven't seen any other rides with them.

Awesome

Yeah the cleats were a bit of a hassle. But when you need to replace them, it will be much easier because the plastic beneath the cleat will be darker than the rest of the sole and you can just line it up.
I'm glad you are enjoying them.

Like I said, insanely jealous. They're gorgeous.
I've seen pictures of them before by themselves, but never a picture of them laced to a wheel.

They look better in real

They look better in real life. Are you still going for the Ellipse for your D2 pista?

I wish I could see them sometime.

I'm probably going to end up with the ellipse.
I was considering getting some dura ace hubs laced to ceramic open pros, but the mavics just seem like a better option for me. They are stronger, less expensive, and the hubs are sealed.

I have the Ellipse as spare

I have the Ellipse as spare wheels. And they are really nice, they have some issuse, but they are strong and look nice when you get the decals off.

have you had???

Thanks for the kind words

Thanks for the kind words guys. It’s a riot to ride, the power transfer is unbelievable fast :)

power transfer

I suggest switching to clipless pedals if you want to improve your power transfer even more.

I started running shimano 105 pedals about seven months ago and the difference is incredible.
Once you get used to it, I don't think would ever want to go back to clips and straps on a nice bike again. It's awesome.

Cool. I'm buying a pair of

Cool. I'm buying a pair of 105, when the next paycheck gets in.

good plan

Let me know what you think of it!

I will. What model of shoe

I will. What model of shoe are you running with yours? I was thinking about a pair of road shoes with spd clamps, because I’m mostly using this bike for long rides.

I have a pair of

specialized road comps(the 09 model was synthetic leather) with the regular 3 hole road drilling.
It is compatible with shimano spd-sl cleats which will work with shimano road pedals.

Awesome!

Looks like fun.

Congrats on a bad ass build.

Looks like pure evil.
