Peugeot Conversion

So I found a French-Frame Peugeot bicycle in great shape at a garage sale and purchased it for . After dusting her off, stripping her naked, chiseling off the cable couplings, smoothing off the unwanted mounds and cleaning the frame, she was ready for her new refreshing face job. Luckily a good friend of mine owns an auto body shop and he was able to work his magic on the frame. The result was a frame that glistened as though she just had stepped off the production line. I also took this opportunity to sport her up with a personalized racing stripe down her back end. Now it was time for the $$FUN$$ part... so I searched High and Low for components. I was convinced that the components would either be Dura-Ace or Campy, after all she was my baby. Although money was no object, I did want to obtain a sense of balance between her vintage look & spirit and my desire for a modern & sophisticated sense; that's when I happened upon Miche's Track Set- beautiful components at only half the price. It was a perfect match, French Engineering mixed with Italian Sophistication, Elegance and Performance, unfortunately I had to wait about 3 months for the set to arrive from Italy. So far she is about 90% done, I'm still searching for the perfect Campy seat post and stem that will fit this early 80's frame as well as the perfect Drop Bar, but for now I'm pleased with this blend of Frensh- Italian/ Vintage- Modern Beauty, I'm in love!!! I only ride her on Sundays.
