Mint condition Bianchi Pista with a serial # of D. 006.

I've never seen an 80's or 90's Pista in purple, let alone one with such a low serial number. Which leads me to believe that it may have been a custom or team bike.

If anyone has more info then please contribute.

mmm

very clean, beautiful frame, jeez. color aint bad either :P

Ditto to Dr. B.

Man, that bike is a time capsule!

I was racing for Salsa back then, one of the areas of interest was the track. Salsa basically took the geometry of your bike and reproduced it with Reynolds tubing (if I'm not mistaken). I was on hold and waiting for my Salsa track frame, I'd busted three road frames at the bottom bracket that season, so I was waiting for some gussets to be applied to my track frame. That frame was a wadded mess after a 4 man pile up at Dominguez Hills. Best bike I've ever thrown a leg over! I envy you... I've always been a Bianchi fan, still keeping my hopes up for finding an early lugged Bianchi track frame!

Yours is one of those "left nut bikes", you'd give yours to have one of those!

Super stylie ride, congrats!!!
