Spalding SPX-1000

This was my first cool bike, i think i was 6 or 7 when i got this bike in 1988 or 1989. The covers for the tires used to be white, but have turned over time sitting in my dads barn. I put a ugly mongoose red and black saddle on it cause the original white plastic one broke off. I dont ride it, trying to restore it to its formal glory.
If anyone has any info on this bike or had one just like it, shoot me a line.
