1987 Schwinn World Sport 59cm

stock handlebars and stem wrapped in black cinelli corktape

stock, painted professionally Y2 yellow

Aerospoke

Velocity Fusion rim, DT Swiss Champ spokes, 130mm Surly flip-flop hub, Surly 17t fixed cog Michelin tire, built by prowheelbuilder.com

IRO crankset 46t chainring, 110 mm Shimano bottom bracket

Selle San Marco Rolls saddle, odyssey seat post

Pake pedals, 3/32 chain

Surly 17t cog in rear, 46t chainring

This bike was based off my dads 1969 Dodge Dart GTS 440 M-code car. It was custom painted Y2 yellow with the head tube left the original black and kept the original Schwinn head badge. tried to make it old school in the back with a custom built spoke rim with red pinstripe rear tire and new school in from with a black glossy Aerospoke rim. The rear end was cold set to 130mm to fit the Surly hub. The 110mm bottom bracket and cold set rear end resulted in a perfect chainline.

i'm really liking the paint

i'm really liking the paint job! What color/type of paint did you use to paint it? I was thinking of painting my frame a light yellow and that seems to be a nice shade of yellow

paint color

the paint color is Y2 yellow. it was painted at an auto restoration shop, any MOPAR ie dodge, chrysler shop should know the color. hope this helps.

I like the bike and concept

I like the bike and concept a lot. I would have done it to a nicer frame though. I think converted 10 speed Schwinns have such boring geometry

Yep it's a 2008 challenger SRT...she's a lot of fun to drive. I've never got groceries so fast haha
