My guess is that it's a...

Offered as a promotional frame by Performance in Chapel Hill in 1988. Built "OEM" with 105 2x7 indexed and Araya rims. Chrome-Moly double butted frame, very similar to Specialized of the era, with a unicrowned lugged fork. Only Performance can say who made that frame.

Nice frame, easily comparable to a Tange 1 of the same era.

The bike was purchased new from Performance, and for some reason, the wheels were changed in 1992 or so to 600 Ultegra hubs laced to Mavic Open 4 CD's. It was barely ridden after that, as the owner developed a knee problem.

junkfoodjunkie has maximized it's potential with a truly outstanding group.

That looks like a Teiffe saddle or similar, made by Selle Italia for some Bianchi bikes and others.

Hey Bryan!

The Saddle is Fuji branded.

The Saddle is Fuji branded. I got it off of an Austro Daimler. I will just call it the Performance Frame. Took it on its first decent ride today and it performed great! Thanks again RT
