Surly 1x1 laced to Velocity Ti deep V

Kooka CNC with Suntour Tange

Specialized Ti carbon seat with Salsa SHAFT post

Time ATAC road clips and Shimano "OVAL" chain

Campy "skeleton" brake ('cuz I'm not that cool)

Shimano 333 (vintage pre-DuraAce, BMX best ever!) 16 tooth freewheel with Kooka 42 up front

NOS Rock Shox "RUBY" the only road/cyclocross fork w/lock-out

This is my third Kilo, I dig these bikes, they're better than the retail price... especially after you sh*tcan the stock parts. My first one was for bombin' round the neighborhood, the second was a single speed cyclocross bike, this one is for bombin' and commutin' to work. Kilo TT's are great to build, ride it for six months, sell it, and build a new one! Simple.

p.s. The cartoon is there because the guy with the glasses represents every person that says they're going to start to commute to work, everybody wants a uniform/outfit! I'm the cat with the hat, always wishing I'd kept quiet about commuting!

what's the headtube measure

what's the headtube measure on your 57cm kilo tt? i'm buying a frameset and using one of the many forks i already have but have no idea what the headtube measures out for the sizes.

ya sure gotta hate those

ya sure gotta hate those damned people who wanna start commuting

damn commuters

Man c'mon, it's not the fact that they want to commute by bike, cool, I wish everyone would... it's the silly idea that they have to go and get kit'd out. Craigslist is chocked full of bikes and gear that got used once or twice, then died in the corner of the garage.

Best intentions, right? I can't take a road ride without some noob in club spandex on a high tech carbon bike nearly wiping us all out because he thinks he's Lance Armstrong.

Bike fashion always looks the best on the crappiest riders. My gear would too if I only used it once every few months. Maybe you're right... maybe this is my issue but I've never wanted to "BE A ________________" (hipster, poser, commuter, whatever). I simply dig bikes and I gotta ride.

Cheers!
