About a year ago, my girlfriend had the Bridgestone 450 I restored for her stolen outside the Atlantic Center in Brooklyn. She was really upset about it, and I felt bad, so we started looking at getting her a new one. After a couple weeks of searching, I picked up this bike, complete, off ebay for about 90 bucks, shipped. Unfortunately, it was found abandoned in the Everglades and nearly all the original components were shot. I dumped what originally came on the bike, and started from the bare frame, sourcing parts from my other projects. Most of what was put on the bike was new old stock or very lightly used. We decided to keep the frame's "patina" as a theft deterrent. Oh, and she learned her lesson and upgraded her lock to a Kryptonite New York chain.
