57cm Handbuilt 531 Peugeot - 70's/80's? anyone know?

narrow 30's/40's steel track and c.1955 GB lugged 531 steel underslung stem with Żywiec shim

chromed Peugeot and Lightrace

rebuilt Fulcrum 7 annodised red - paid for by the nice driver who didn't signal (the real casualty was the yoghurt in my bag)

Goldtec double fixed laced one side silver, one side black to Mavic cxp33 - a present from Wei, Tom, Linz and Ben :)

Peugeot branded Stronglight 52T

Regal and vintage Titan alloy two-bolt

M540s and cheapo halflink

Condor 19T and Miche 15T and a nod to cutting-egde lightweight nonsense with a carbon brake lever from Ben

Found this complete road bike being chucked out in Highbury and rode it as it was for a bit before its old Heliomatic rear hub gave out completely and i rebuilt it s l o w l y as a fixed. got run over by a nice lady turning left into me. she crumpled the original Normandy front wheel, but gave me cash and arnica on the spot, inspiring a flurry of new (old) parts. i rebuilt the radially laced fulcrum 7 2-cross, with silver spokes (gives a nice five point star) :) the whole thing rides so beautifully! gradually getting upgraded into a classier beast

Hey! That's the bike I overtook at breakneck speed on Green Lanes the other night, only to be re-overtaken a few minutes later! The nerve, the cheek, the gall, the audacity!

Nice bike. (And fast, I can vouch for that...!)

Nice pug
