This was a total 'vanity' bike... I just wanted to own something vintage and Italian with Campagnolo components and white bar tape. (Seriously.) Props to Anthony at Velo Cult, I gave him this idea and he ran with it, and made it a work of art.
Only one problem... be careful what you wish for, you might get it. :-)
It was SO attention-getting, it began to be a problem. People constantly asked me how much it cost. It got to where I was afraid to lock it up unattended for even a few minutes. It hurt to see it go, but I sold it within six months. The bike I replaced it with is still really nice, but much more low-key.
Last I heard, the dude who bought it from me restored it to a full Campy geared drivetrain. Good for him!
