A little unusual for a track - this frame has fender eyelets. Apparently it was originally intended for flat/grass track racing, hence the fenders. However, the clearance w/ the 700c front wheel is too tight for a fender. If anybody knows anything more about the frame I'd like to hear it. Better photos to follow. build by previous owner here: http://velospace.org/node/174

i love this frame

i remember seeing some shots of it from fixed geag gallery, built up with an old williams chainset and adjustable stem.

a fender might fit if you use 700c tubular rims and 19mm tubulars. i had a similar problem with one of my bikes and the slimmer tires (as were used when this frame was built) really helped clearances.

and fender eyelets could indicate a 'road/path' bike or 'path racer' that was to be ridden to the track, brake removed, sometimes wheels swapped and then raced and ridden home. most brits could only afford one bike.

hope this helps. it's lovely!

nice

thanks for the intel! I recently acquired a bike that's going to become my four-seasons commuter, so not so worried about affixing a fender to this puppy anymore.
