How quiet is the shaft

How quiet is the shaft drive? Are you even going to attempt a DIY repair if you have any issues? I would be so scared I'd break it...

Very quiet. There's not

Very quiet. There's not much to do. When we had some trouble, my husband just opened it up and greased it and closed it, and that was that.

He just didn't want to fool with chains and insisted on shaft drive bikes. I think later I'll want a road bike, lighter bike, but I really do like this one. It's fun.
