the white lady

this bike was sitting on the patio of my exgirlfriends house when she moved in.
upon later investigation i found that it belonged to her room mates boyfriend.
he had both this peugeot and a motobecane of similar age but poorer condition parked outside.
i asked him what he was going to do with them being that both needed some serious loving.
he told me he only needed one of them and that the motobecane was in better condition.
it wasnt, but i wasnt going to argue with him, so he gave me the peugeot straight away.
that weekend i came home and stripped her down, buffed out the paint, and detailed the rust spots.
i had intended to restore her to full twelve speed glory but got impatient and eventually left the
derailleurs off and ran it single speed on the stock six speed cassette before replacing the wheelset.

the original mafac levers were unsalvagable, so i left the baby bullhorns and ran cross levers for front and rear.
otherwise restored to factory save a suntour cyclone rear derailleur. pictures to follow whenever i get a moment and the motivation.
