I rebuilt my old Motobecane racing bike for my dad as a birthday present. It took a while and shipping it over to Holland where my parents live was a nightmare, but I'm pretty pleased with it now. No gears on the front ring, and you change the rear mech via a down-tube lever, mounted to a bar end housing. The grips are just thickly bound bar cork. Dad likes the sis indexing at the moment, but I included a simplex retrofriction lever in case he changes his mind. The bike looks white insome of these photos, but its actually more cream coloured.
