Biopace crap.

Planet bike extra-squishy. Considering a beat up old leather saddle for my ass' sake.

18 speeds, thinking about setting it up with a single speed or internal hub.

I call it the dinosaur bike. It lumbers all over town and eats broken glass and potholes for breakfast. I have hauled firewood, furniture, and food in ridiculous amounts. We were hit by an SUV, right hook, and we did more damage to it than it did to us. The barend style shifters are actually crappy thumb shifters that I just mounted at the end of the drops and covered in bar wrap. It also now has fenders made of soda cans, pictures soon. I have also added a removable (but secure from tweakers) rail made of soldered copper pipes that i picked up for cheap. i really really like it.

Hey, love the rack, I've been thinking about trying to make one of my own. Is it a normal rack with boards on it, or did you make the whole thing from scratch? I'd love to see some better pictures of it

rack

hey thanks. it's a normal rack with boards on it, just screwed on with p-clamps. it is really sturdy and convenient, although i'm thinking of making some sort of removable rail set-up around the edge to hold bags of stuff on it. it's not light, but then that's not really the point. i lucked out finding a front rack on craigslist locally, but i've also seen good ones made by jury-rigging an old blackburn-style rear rack onto the front. i'll get some more pics up too.

I hadn't even noticed that

Are those cabinet door handles? And driftwood? That...is...boss!

thanks

the wood i got for free from an old pallet. and some cabinet pulls from a hardware/demolition salvage place in town. i'm pretty pleased with it.
