The Windsor is great!!

Just dont use the wheelset. Same as the origional on my khs. HORRIBLE!! I've got lots of the stickers so give me address and one is in the mail. THANKS!!!

I haven't had any problems with the Windsor's Jalco/Formula wheelset yet. My only complaint about the Windsor is that the frame is either straight-gauge or single butted which makes it very heavy. It also seems very flexy to me.

Mongoose was great 15 years

Mongoose was great 15 years ago, but they were bought out by a department store who builds their bikes as cheaply as possible now.

Besides, there are fewer components to fuck up on a cheap track bike than on a full-suspension mtb. Therefore, 0 goes farther for a track bike with no brakes, shifters, derailleurs, shocks, etc.

french diameters and other horrors

oh man, i had the exact same bike. The paint faded and the stripes cracked, it made horrible shudders, there was absolutely no sound reason to put the seatpost-adjuster bolt where it was, and I loved it. some fool wandered out of my garage with it between his legs one night while i was at work. I saw him riding it down the street three weeks later, and chased him all the way back to his appartment, from where, plead as i did, the police wouldn't rescue it. But when the fork snaps, he'll never find another one.

That's a sad story. You should get some friends together and wait for him to leave his apartment. Then, you know... ask him to return it to you. Very politely.
