This is my very first fixed gear and it is also my first ever conversion. I am completely new to bicycle mechanics. I purchased this old Trek for 90 bucks. I ended up replacing the bottom bracket, crank set, wheels, tires and handle bars. The frame was somewhat rusty so I stripped, sanded, primed and painted it all myself with store bought spray paint. Probably spent almost enough to buy a new bike but the experience was priceless and the parts are legit. Tell me what you think!

nice

I really need a brake/brake lever like that, you should try and find a blue saddle!

Better get a TT pad...

Nice job all in all... You better get yourself a top tube pad though, you don’t want to snag your sack on one of them cable guides!

top tubed

totally got one and i think it really adds to the overall look of the bike plus its nice to know theres a little something there other than empty brake clips.

I like how your bike turned

I like how your bike turned out. Very tasteful and shows great restraint. I love that you did the work yourself.

Great job.

I can't quite tell from the photo

but it looks like your brakes are gonna rub against the tire? Is this a 27" frame with 700c wheels?

you were right!

oh man, you were totally right about the brake! i was only really paying attention to one of the sides but the other side totally rubs on the tire. GREAT!
