I got this bike very cheap from a neighbor. He had switched to a flatbar, which is exactly I wanted for a commuter. Since I got the bike, I have swapped to an indexed shifter and a nice Shimano Tiagra road crank. It is a fast bike. I really love it except the old 27 1-1/8 wheelset, but I had to stop upgrading it before it gets stolen - afterall it is my commuting bike.
