Matte Black Dawes

My commuter bike. Santa Cruz, CA is not very flat. That is why I laugh when people are anxiously waiting for a bus with their track bike in hand.

I put together this bike on a budget, no expensive parts, and a relatively cheap frame. I wanted it to look nice so I painted it a matte black (used to be an ugly glossy blue) and put some bullhorns on it and some bar end Tektro 4.1 levers.

This bike will take me up the hills, down the hills, through the rain, and through traffic. Complete with front and rear breaks, 3 gears upfront and 8 gear in back. What a concept.
