Brake levers?

What do you mean by "suicide levers"? -- I don't see anything like that in the pictures you posted.

That bike is in amazing condition...I wonder if all those bits are original? The frame is gorgeous with the chromed tips and headtube lugs.

Your Voyageur

Very pretty bike indeed! I bought one new, and still have it. It's not original now - I put mustache bars on it, 700C wheels, and non-aero brakes kinda like yours. I know that seat isn't stock - Mine came with what felt like a "razor blade" after about 40 miles! It's still a great bike though.

I took the description off

I took the description off the Schwinn site. I don't know what suicide levers are! Probably an option that year. The bike is completely original sans the tires, bar tape, and saddle.

Suicide levers...

...are the lever extensions that come out of the top of the brake lever assembly and allow you to brake from the tops of the bars. You know, like the ones you used to see on really cheap bikes (although the Voyager was not a cheapie).

They're obviously missing from your bike, but that's ok -- braking force really sucked with them, and wise cyclists always removed them!

Keep it original, it's gorgeous...
