Japan's number one crime is bike theft. Note the parking and crime prevention stickers on the middle tube. Wish I could say what parts are on my nameless beauty, but I never pay attention to those things. :/

Theft problem

Maybe they have a theft problem because that bike rack looks awful, as far as I can tell the only way to lock your bike is with a cable? Looks very unsecure.

But yeah, what's the deal with those brake mounts? it's one thing to pretend you don't have brake holes, but the back mount is bolted on straight through the brake hole!

Nah the theft is just because people callously leave their bikes unlocked all over the place when they go on errands. So the police instituted a barcode crime prevention system. Every bike is registered by local bike shops, with a description of the frame and a crime prevention number. They'll also routinely stop people on bikes to see if the name/number on the bike is the person's riding it. It's intense. As for my brakes, I answered the dude below on that one. :P

i saw you were "from" philly so i checked your website out and no offense but you just made us look like the biggest fucking retards on the face of the earth . you made me hate philly in a matter of 5 minutes and i am now looking forward to the day i can finally move out of this fae ass city and by the way your frame is drilled for brakes take those fucking clamps off you american apparel trust fund kid and by the way none of those "messenger boys " you interviewed are even couriers in this city once again you make me hate this city

Man, I just gotta know where

Man, I just gotta know where you're originally from. I grew up in Olney, so hopefully that 215 on your user name means something and you know where that is. Did you grow up in South Philly or is that just where you live now? Also, the post on my site titled "handsome messenger boys" refers to someone who was doing messenger work at the time I interviewed them. The "messenger boys" term isn't used for anyone else on the site.

Really the brakes are the only thing you got me on here, but don't act like you're chumpin me so hard. I realize there are holes to mount brakes. Is it poor to assume that when I tag my bike as a "single speed," I am not trying to pretend it's anything else? Anyway, when my friend was putting the bike together, the brakes he had around were problematic. The random mounting hardware is the result of just trying to get shit to fit together without me having to buy anything. Cause I'm living in Japan and it's expensive here. :/
